We are seeking a dynamic and proactive person who can work in harmony with the Trust vision and principles of putting the patient at the heart of everything we do to provide technical operational expertise in Estates and Facilities based activities.

The post holder will need to assist the Estates officer on day to day operational duties while  making sure that compliance and planned preventative maintenance is carried out correctly and on time.

The candidate will be required to take part in the operational estates on call rota and will also be required to take part in planned overtime cover .

The standard working hours will be Mon-Fri 08:00 am-16:00 pm .   

Primarily a trust wide post within the Estates and Facilities department, this post is based within the Estates department, at Leigh Infirmary The avenue Leigh. You will also be required to work across other Trust sites

The candidate should be able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire detection, electrical infrastructure and distribution systems.

You  will be responsible for assisting the Estates Manager (operations) in the installation, maintenance, servicing and repairing of a range of building services, engineering plant and equipment, and to maintain the fabric of the premises.

The Post will be managed rather than supervised, therefore the candidate must be able to work independently, be capable of making decisions and act with initiative up to the limits of his/her training and authority.
