The Head of Nursing post in the Emergency Village within Division of Medicine is an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic individual with excellent nursing and leadership skills to join our team and help us make positive differences to people’s lives.

It will appeal to anyone who thrives in an environment which is focused on building upon and continually improving quality, safety and patient experience, with energy and drive.

You will work closely with Divisional Director Of Nursing for Medicine in leading and supporting Matrons and Specialist Nurses to empower them to be the best they can be to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.

The Head of Nursing will be an integral member part of divisional management team. There is a specific focus on visible, accessible and strong clinical leadership; service quality and development; and the patient’s experience of safe, timely and effective care.

You will need to be a confident and collaborative leader who puts our patients at the centre of all decision making with a sound knowledge of the clinical governance agenda and a proven track record of embedding lessons learnt to improve outcomes .

Candidates must be able to participate in the Trust senior manager on call (SMOC) as required through the Trust on call rota.

The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.

Please note candidates will be required to present original qualifications for certificates at interview stage.
